Prathik Naidu

High School Student

 

Prathik Naidu is a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. He is an active computational biology researcher who has worked for the past three years in the fields of protein modelling, machine learning, and cancer genomics (Johns Hopkins University and The Broad Institute of MIT/Harvard). Prathik has been recognized at international science competitions for his work and is preparing a submission to a peer-reviewed journal. Outside of scientific research, Prathik enjoys studying classics and has been learning Latin both in and out of school for the past five years. He recently founded an initiative called The Classics Project, an organization aimed at sharing the importance of ancient languages through educational workshops and service projects. As a researcher in the Quantitative Criticism Lab, Prathik combines his interests in computer science and classical literature to work on projects in text-analysis and image processing.
