Patrick Burns

Principal Collaborator

Patrick J. Burns (Ph.D. Fordham) is the ACLS Postdoctoral Fellow for the Quantitative Criticism Lab. His research interests include analyzing generic diction in Latin and Greek literature and developing readability measurements for use in teaching classical languages. Patrick is also the Latin tools developer for the Classical Language Toolkit, an open-source project dedicated to text analysis and natural language processing research for historical languages. Lastly, Patrick actively tweets about Digital Classics and the subculture of active Latin (among other things!) under the Twitter handle @diyclassics.
