Ajay Kannan (B.A. Dartmouth) is a software engineer at Baidu. He is interested in computational problems, especially the intersection of computing and language. He currently works on deep neural networks for speech recognition, both on research and on putting the technology into production for products. He enjoyed working on intertextuality because he got lots of exposure to open problems in Classics and how machine learning can help generate and support Classicists’ hypotheses. Outside of work, he enjoys board games and staying active.
